Great Idea: But They Don't Get It?

Great Idea?

Why Don't They Get It?

You're only as good as your ability to communicate something that your audience can comprehend.

Many times we are faced with situations and pitches where your team has a brilliant idea. You may understand the extent of research undertaken, the obstacles involved and the relevant solutions.

If your intended audience cannot comprehend it on the same level, you have failed.

I caught up earlier today with the Managing Director of Hunter, Simon Hakim who shared part of his life and adventures with me over coffee. He poised this scenario that occurred some 3 years back when his team presented a brilliant strategy to the CEO of a business they were pitching to. T

hey did not win the pitch back then.

3 years down the track, that very same CEO rang Hunter back and apologised and decided it was time to take action and go with Hunter.

Sometimes, others may not understand what we mean.
We obviously need to rethink our strategy and our approach in our intended messages.

Keep It Simple. What are you trying to say?
